2008 Group Lessons
Argue-ment GC is pleased to offer some options for group lessons this year. Hopefully, you will find a program and date that will work well with your schedule. Please feel free to contact David Haugh, our PGA instructor, or one of the Argue-ment staff members if you have a group program request; or, if you have a personal or business group outing idea that you would like assistance in putting This course is designed for juniors that have successfully completed a school golf program such as the ones provided by the New Glarus and Belleville school districts, or have previously received a minimum of two, private lessons with David Haugh, PGA professional, or from another PGA professional, or if the child demonstrates an equal level of experience coupled with a strong desire to improve. This is an opportunity for motivated, competitively minded juniors to receive outstanding golf instruction in a tightly focused and disciplined format. As a Hank Haney (Tiger's coach) affiliated instructor, David will borrow much of Hank's methods in refining the fundamentals necessary for improvement. Each class receives 45 minutes of instruction and then plays 9 holes of golf from the junior tees. David will play along and coach a minimum of three holes with the students each day. Each student completing the program will receive a PGA golf cap. Classes run on Wednesday mornings, August 6, 13, and 20. The first class starts at 9:00 for youths 12 and older. The second class is for youth's age 8-11, starting at 10:00.
together.
Advanced Junior Golf: "Young Dragons"
To ensure personal and adequate attention is given to each student in this program, the cost will be limited to 15 students. Cost is $80/student.
Employing his years of experience as a PGA teaching professional, acknowledged by Hank Haney as a teaching affiliate, and a former martial arts instructor, David utilizes proven methods of instruction and coaching targeted to bringing out and encouraging the best in the junior athlete.
Beginning Golf:
Series of four, one-hour, weekly lessons designed for people with little to no previous experience. Learn the basics in a very relaxed, non-intimidating setting. Students start with putting (small swings) and work their way to the full swing, including some on-course playing experience by week four. Basic etiquette and rules are also covered. Group size is generally 5-8 people. Cost is $95/person.
Dates and time:
Option one: Thursdays, 6:15, April 17, 24, May 1, 8.
Option two: Thursdays, 6:15, June 26, July 3, 10, 17.
Option three: Saturdays, 2:30 June 7, 14, 21, 28.
Ladies Clinics:
Ladies only! To coincide with the PGA's promotion to make June "Women's Golf Month," David set aside a slot to offer a clinic for the gals. The format is very similar to the Beginning Golf series, but classes tend to be a little more open for requests on particular aspects of the game needing further attention. 8 gals max. Cost is $95/person.
Dates and time:
Thursdays, 6:15, May 22, 29, June 5, 12.
Family Plan:
Round up the family and learn golf! At the very least, you'll have plenty to talk about over dinner! Here's a chance for families to be outdoors and learn a game that can be played over the course of their lives together. Minimum of three family members are required. Mom, dad, kids, grandparents and cousins are encouraged to form a group for a one-hour lesson tailored to the family's wish. Cost is $50/hour for three people, add $10 for each additional family member/student. Contact David Haugh to schedule a Family Plan that will work best for you and your family.
