A Wisconsin native, David Haugh, PGA has worked in the golf industry for thirteen years, primarily as a golf instructor in Wisconsin and California. Currently, David is enrolled at Edgewood College pursuing an MA in Education. For the 2010 season, David will continue to offer individual and group golf lessons by appointment.

          In terms of golf instruction, David has assisted hundreds of golfers with their game and has participated in numerous teaching workshops featuring top instructors in the industry such as Manuel de la Torre, Hank Haney, Butch Harmon, Jim Flick, Chuck Hogan, Andy Plummer and Mike Bennett, among others. He has also worked with The First Tee program to gain knowledge on how to assist physically disabled golfers find their swing.

          When asked about his style or philosophy on teaching golf, David says his ability to teach and communicate continues to evolve, but first recognizes and respects that each student comes to the lesson tee with their own unique tendencies and level of comfort in such a setting. Nonetheless, he finds ways to engage the learning faculties of the student, making the experience both enjoyable and relevant. He largely places emphasis on observing the student's overall swinging motion and ball flight to interpret what is helping or hindering the student's golfing goals.

          David is committed to offering quality golf instruction at affordable rates for players of all abilities and ages. He welcomes families, couples or small groups of friends or colleagues to contact him to arrange a "group lesson" at a reduced group rate.

Individual lessons are $35/half-hour and $55/hour, juniors (age 17 and under) $25/half-hour. A 10% discount is applied to the purchase of a series of four or more lessons.
